Three Curated Articles for customer-centric Caribbean Marketers
- CMO Council on data and the customer experience:
This is very top of mind for me with both hats on, both as a CMO, and as a digital agency founder who has worked a ton with CMOs and marketing leaders. Marketers should be spending time crafting the ideal end-to-end customer experience (from prospect to customer, and beyond), and programmatically tweaking those experiences based on all available data sources. If your data isn’t set up to help you do that, then setting up the foundation needs to be one of your core marketing pillars. View the article here
2. Content Marketing Statistics: The Ultimate List:
Shared a selection of these with a client this week, and I can’t say enough how important it is for any modern marketer to have a dedicated content marketing strategy that goes WELL beyond purely social media marketing. Too many Caribbean companies associate / emphasize content with social media posting only, and push back against the investment of time and money that is necessary to create advanced content that either engages or drives focus goals. And then are surprised when normal day to day social media posts don’t have high engagement rates. You’ve got to know your personas, understand what they want, and stump up some cash from time to time and deliver it. and of course it’s not enough to just create content, your content marketing plan has to be well designed to distribute that content. This list applies to B2B and B2C alike, and if you’ve been having the content marketing conversation with your boss or your team without success, and they like numbers, then some of the stats here may help! 3. A guide to sales and marketing alignment:
This is an oldie but a goodie. I’m fortunate to have a great relationship with my sales counterparts at SkyKick and that’s a relationship that marketing leaders have to invest in consistently. What matters more however, is that as a Caribbean marketing leader, or a business leader of an organization, you understand just how critical it is, and have a plan in place for beginning that alignment effort.
